Our annual Earth Day is a community celebration featuring student displays from local schools, interactive booths, vendors, nature crafts, music, games and prizes. This fun, family-oriented event is free to attend and is held outdoors at North Park. As you enjoy a beautiful spring day, fly a kite in the park and learn a few flying techniques from a member of the National Kite Association. This aspect of the event supports "Flying 4 Kids," a statewide kite fly to create awareness of parks, recreation and the Park District Youth License Plate. In case of inclement weather, the Earth Day booths will be relocated to the North Park Sports Arena. Take time to learn how to keep our earth clean!
