"Let's Skate"

The Franklin Park Ice Arena offers "Let's Skate" Sessions six days a week (four during summer). Lunch hour skates are a relaxing break from work. Our weekend sessions are conveniently scheduled in the afternoon and evening. Reasonably priced, fun, always a great time to enjoy with family and friends. Skate all season long with a season pass...it pays for itself in no time.

Skating School

Our Skating School program is conducted in accordance with the national standards established by the Ice Skating Institute (ISI). This program allows you to progress at your own rate, moving up in class levels as you build on fundamentals and advance to more difficult skating maneuvers. At the Franklin Park Ice Arena, our mission is to provide a thorough skating education in a relaxed, friendly atmosphere. With 37 years of experience beneath our blades, we have introduced thousands of participants to the sport of ice-skating.

Learning to skate is fun for all ages and provides you with a lifetime of recreational enjoyment. New sessions begin four times throughout the year: September, December, March, and June. Link to www.fpice.com for skating school schedule.

Skating Camp

Our six-week Summer Ice Skating Camps are the perfect way to keep up your skating skills year-round. Why not chill with all your friends at the ice arena this summer? Summer Camp information will be available in March. Contact the Ice Arena at 847-671-4268 for more information.

The Franklin Park Speed Skating Club trains skaters to compete locally, regionally, and nationally in the exciting sport of Short Track Speed Skating. When you begin, you will train under the guidance of expert coaches who prepare you to compete locally in the "novice division." As you advance you will participate in international and pre-Olympic events. The club is open to skaters of all ability and experience levels below the age of 21. We can teach you the basics of speed skating while you wear your figure or hockey skates.

Youth Hockey

The Franklin Park Ice Arena offers a wide variety of hockey programs for all ages. The Panther Hockey Program participates in the North West Hockey League during both the Fall/Winter season. In the Spring our teams participate in the Illinois Spring League. Our instructional hockey program, Panther Paws, is designed to teach the basics. A progressive program designed for all youth groups, from three to fifteen years of age. Camps and Clinics are offered throughout the season. Adult Hockey

The Franklin Park Ice Arena invites your team to participate in our Adult Hockey League all season long. We offer games in both the fall and winter along with our highly regarded summer league. Each season consists of 14-games. Cash prizes will be awarded to the top teams in each league. Our goal is to make sure every team has a great experience playing the best sport around. Adult Open Hockey:

The Franklin Park Ice Arena is offering Adult Open Hockey on Wednesdays & Fridays 9:20-10:50 am. The fee is only $10 and full gear is required. Goalies skate for free. Check www.fpice.com for updates/schedule changes.

For your convenience, our office is open everyday from 9:00 a.m. - 9:00 p.m Ice rentals that begin after 9:00 p.m. must be paid in full when making the reservation. All other rentals require a non-refundable/non-movable deposit of 50%. Deposits on ice rentals will only be refunded (minus $2 administrative fee) if the ice is sold.

Studio Arena 60' x 80'

Our smaller ice surface is just right for groups of 50 or less. Skating parties for your friends, church socials, scouts, clubs, or corporate groups are always popular and well attended. The Studio Arena is the prefect size for the game Broomball, and makes a unique setting for your older child's (ages 9 through teen) next birthday party!

Room Rental Policy: The room is only available with Studio Rentals. Maximum 2.5 hours in the room for the first hour of Studio ice rented. One additional hour in the room for each additional hour of Studio Ice rented. Please remember that your time in the room or on the ice equals your start time. If you need extra time for set, please plan accordingly.
