Purchase Fitness Center Equipment

The Park District of Franklin Park will be accepting sealed bids for the sale of: (1) Life Fitness Elliptical- HR 9500; (1) Life Fitness-Standup Bike HRH 9500; and (1) Life Fitness Treadmill – TR 9500.

Bids will be accepted for a minimum bid of $25.00 each or best offer.
Please submit your Name, Address, Phone Number, Amount of Bid and the Name of Equipment you are bidding on in a sealed envelope Attn: Dan LoCascio.

The highest bidder will receive the equipment at the fee disclosed. The equipment must be picked up by the purchaser and the date arranged with the Park District. The property shall be transferred in "as is" condition without any warranties, express or implied. Sealed bids will be received at the main office at the Park District of Franklin Park Community Center located at 9560 Franklin Avenue, Franklin Park, IL 60131, Monday through Friday 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. daily until 1:00 p.m. Monday, September 8, 2014. All bids shall be opened and publicly read aloud on Monday, September 8, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. Any bids received after said time will not be opened. Bidder does not need to be present. Offering Online Registration This Fall!

Enjoy the benefits of checking program availability, class descriptions and registering from home. It’s only a click away! Online registration will be available for most programs. Just follow the link on our website to find the program that’s right for you!

We’ve made it easy for you to begin. If you’ve provided your email address and previously participated in a program or had a membership with us, your account is already active! Follow the link on our website to complete the process. Once there, login at the top right corner and choose Forgot My Login Information. Your new login and password will be automatically emailed to you so you can begin, it’s that simple! If your active account did not include an email address, just give us a call at 847-455-2852 so we can get you started.

Never participated in a program at the Park District of Franklin Park or Franklin Park Ice Arena? Follow the link on our website and select Create New, fill out the form and your account will be active right away! If you’re a resident of the Park District, you will need to provide proof of residency in person before resident fees are available. Other registration options include in person, by fax or mail. For some of our team activities and rentals, online registration will not be available at this time.

Fall program registration begins August 4 for residents and August 6 for non-residents. Ice Arena registration begins August 19. We hope you enjoy this new convenient registration option and encourage your feedback!
 
Resident Pass Required for all In-District Residents
In order to receive the In-District rate for many programs, events, passes and entrance fees, Franklin Park residents (including all children) living north of Grand Avenue are required to obtain a Resident Pass prior to registration. Come to the Community Center at 9560 Franklin Avenue with a valid driver’s license or state ID and a current property tax or utility bill showing your name and address and a copy of each child’s birth certificate or guardian papers to receive your resident pass. The pass serves as proof of residency for any future registration and is good for one year. For more information, call 847-455-2852.

Race route starts and finishes at North Park! Register online now!

For all ages, our  7th year running of 5K through the streets of Franklin Park is being held on Saturday, September 20. The race starts and ends at North Park beginning at 9:00 a.m.
 
The Parks Foundation will be hosting the 7th annual 5K Foundation Fun Run/Walk. Join us for this healthy start to Fall. Residents of all ages and abilities are invited to join the Park District of Franklin Park for this special event. This race creates an opportunity for the community to achieve a fitness goal and enjoy fall through the neighborhood streets of Franklin Park.
 
All participants will receive a t-shirt and post-race refreshments. Also, prizes will be awarded to the top finishers and everyone receives a medal when they cross the finish line. An adult must accompany runners under twelve years old, and everyone can come out and cheer on their family, friends, and neighbors! In addition to the 5K we will also host a Kids Mini Mile through North Park. For Kids 12 and under, come show off your skills along the path at North Park. All participants receive a t-shirt, medal and post race refreshments.
 
All proceeds generated by the 5K Foundation Fun Run/Walk support the Parks Foundation of Franklin Park and its goals The Parks Foundation is dedicated to identifying and responding to recreation opportunities through community leadership and support. If you are unable to participate in the race, consider dedicating a tree, brick, or bench in Franklin Park to commemorate a special occasion or remember a loved one.
