Pawcific Dog Park

The Pacific Dog Park is currently under construction, and the Park District of Franklin Park has worked closely with designers, contractors, and community partners to bring this exciting project to life. As part of our commitment to enhancing our park facilities and amenities, we continue to invest in improvements that promote outdoor recreation, sustainability, and neighborhood engagement.

The new dog park will provide a safe, off-leash space where dogs can play, exercise, and socialize while their owners connect with fellow pet lovers. To develop the park’s design, the Park District partnered with Hitchcock Design Group to create a master plan and gathered feedback from residents through a community survey.

The project went out to bid in January 2026, and construction is now underway. Once complete, the Pacific Dog Park will be open to both Franklin Park residents and non-residents who complete the required registration process at the Community Center. Registration is free and requires completion of a registration form and waiver, as well as proof of current vaccinations for each dog.

The Pacific Dog Park is projected to open before Thanksgiving. We look forward to welcoming residents and their four-legged friends to this new community amenity!
