The Park District of Franklin Park celebrated a successful weekend of spring festivities with three exciting egg hunt events held across the community. Families came out in large numbers to take part in the fun, creating a memorable experience for all ages.
The weekend kicked off with the popular Flashlight Egg Hunt, which drew an enthusiastic crowd of 300 participants. As the sun set, families enjoyed the unique nighttime experience of searching for eggs under the glow of flashlights, adding an extra layer of excitement to the tradition.
Saturday’s events continued with two daytime egg hunts held at North Park and James Park. North Park welcomed an incredible turnout of approximately 800 attendees, making it the largest event of the weekend. Meanwhile, James Park hosted around 100 participants, offering a more intimate but equally enjoyable experience for families in attendance.
Across all three events, a total of 16,500 eggs were spread throughout the parks, ensuring that every participant had the opportunity to join in the fun. From candy-filled eggs to special prize finds, the hunts were filled with excitement, laughter, and community spirit.
The Park District extends its sincere appreciation to the sponsors who supported the North Park Egg Hunt, helping make the event such a success. Their continued partnership allows the district to provide high-quality, family-friendly programming for the community.
