During the recent seasonal shutdown, we took the opportunity to make several major improvements to the Franklin Park Ice Arena, enhancing comfort, efficiency, and sustainability for all our visitors.
Lobby & Bathrooms Renovation
Our lobby and bathrooms received a full renovation, creating a more welcoming and modern space for guests. The updates include refreshed fixtures and upgraded finishes to ensure a clean and comfortable experience.
Skating School Office Renovation
The Skating School office was also redesigned, creating a more open and inviting space. The new layout improves workflow for staff and provides a more welcoming environment for skaters and staff.
Arena Insulation Upgrades
Both the Main Arena and Studio Arena benefited from enhanced insulation, improving temperature control and energy efficiency while making skating sessions more enjoyable year-round.
Locker Room Improvements
The four downstairs locker rooms were renovated to be more accessible and functional for all users. These updates make it easier for skaters of all ages and abilities to get ready comfortably and safely.
Sustainable Energy: Solar Panels
In a big step toward sustainability, solar panels were installed on the roofs of both the main and studio arenas. These panels will help reduce our energy consumption and lower our environmental footprint, supporting our commitment to green initiatives in the community.
These upgrades reflect our dedication to maintaining a great facility for skaters of all ages and skill levels. We’re excited for everyone to experience the improved amenities and continue making memories at the Franklin Park Ice Arena.
