The Narwhal Swim Team are members of the Central Suburban Swim Conference. The program is designed for boys and girls ages 6-18. Six swim meets are held during June, July and Saturday, July 25 is the championship meet. The team participates in both dual meets and tri-meets. Transportation to away meets is NOT to be provided. Home meets are held at the Pool on Pacific. Swimmers must be able to swim 50 yards (2 laps) without stopping. Swimmers are assigned to lanes with others of similar ability, and workouts are adjusted according to the experience and ability of swimmers in each lane.
The Narwhal Swim Team was founded on the premise of excellence in instruction and commitment to the athlete. This program promotes sportsmanship, team spirit, responsibility, and individual achievement to the level of excellence desired by and within the physical abilities of each swimmer. The swim team develops each swimmer to their full potential. The Narwhal Swim Team provides fun, fitness, and friendly competition in a positive environment of athletic encouragement. We welcome anyone wanting to improve his or her swimming, regardless of your previous swimming experience.
The Narwhal Swim Team provides an opportunity for parents to get involved with supporting their child’s team through volunteer and fundraising opportunities. More information is provided at registration. There is a parent meeting the first practice.
