North Park Café Daily Lunch for Seniors
The Centre at North Park hosts daily lunch for seniors provided by Cook County’s Community Nutrition Network. This service is open to all seniors ages 60 and over. The café serves an affordable daily hot meal at 11:30 am on Mondays through Fridays. Most days an soup, sandwich and salad bar are offered.
The café is open from 9 am-2 pm and features daily bingo. Guest speakers, health fairs, day trips and more are also scheduled. This program is a great opportunity for seniors to socialize over coffee and lunch.

Meals on Wheels
Senior citizens who are ages 60 and over who are unable to shop or drive themselves can have a hot lunch delivered to their homes. The Meals on Wheels program delivers lunch Monday through Friday between 10 am-2 pm. A spouse or caretaker living in the household can also qualify for the meal even if they are not 60 years or older.
The cost of a daily meal is a suggested donation of $3.25-$3.50, but anyone in need of the program should apply. This program also provides a well-being check of the senior every weekday. To sign up for the program, contact Meals on Wheels at (847) 678-8777.
