The Park District of Franklin Park recently completed a major renovation to the Community Center’s main floor. Families, residents and community members are invited to the Grand Reopening on Tuesday, November 19 at 6:30 p.m.
The finished project displays a new terrazzo floor that consists of 29 separate colors and 20 terrazzo aggregates. After considering numerous concepts, a stylized park setting was selected. Features include water, sand, a path, shrubs, trees, flowers, butterflies, a sky scene and more! The goal of the design is to appeal to children and families in an interactive way.
There will be ribbon cuttings, tours of the main floor and refreshments while supplies last. Following the Grand Reopening, there will be an Open House window from November 20 to December 5. All are invited to view the project and learn about the process.
