The first weekend in February, Fusion Skating Club competed at Bensenville’s Mardi Gras Competition. The team ended up taking home first place with its Hairspray number! Eighteen Fusion members competed at this annual competition.
The team’s Hairspray number consisted of skating to the songs It’s Hairspray and You Can’t Stop the Beat. Parents were very instrumental in helping make the scenery and props. A special thank you to Mrs. Raskow, Mrs. Siegel and Commissioner Casas.
Throughout most of the pandemic, skating teams have not been able to compete in competitions and production numbers, so this was great experience for everyone involved. Fusion will perform this routine in the Spring Ice Show and at Worlds Competition in August.
