Remote Learning Day Camp Opening for Other School Districts

The Park District of Franklin Park is opening its Remote Learning Day Camp to students in other school districts. An existing intergovernmental agreement results in a discounted fee for District 84 students. Students in Grades 2-8 from other districts have a different rate in place.

Students can attend any day Monday through Friday. Campers must attend a minimum of two days a week. We also offer an extended care option.

Students conduct their e-learning over at our North Park facility where staff is on hand to assist. Please note that camp follows D84’s schedule including the district’s tentative last day.

The program has been a success and students have adjusted to their routine. Remote Learning Day Camp was even featured on WGN Morning News’ E-Learning Honor Roll.

“A typical day for camp is mostly virtual classes.” said Program Manager Sabrina Rivera. “During breaks we love to have the kids get active with games, activities and crafts. Our goal is for the kids to have a comfortable environment and find a balance to take breaks to reduce stress.”

We would like to thank our staff for their assistance and all teachers for their teaching efforts during this unusual time.
