Dear Residents, Families & Patrons,
Governor Pritzker announced that Region 10 (Suburban Cook County) will remain in Tier 3 mitigations. These mitigations have many effects on Park District of Franklin Park programming and recreation opportunities. These mitigations include:
• Meeting rooms and banquet halls may not host gatherings. All rentals at the Community Center and Centre at North Park will need to be rescheduled or cancelled.
• All indoor group sporting and recreational activities including youth and adult recreational sports are postponed. This includes Dance Classes, Athletic programs and rentals at the Community Center, Franklin Park Ice Arena and North Park Sports Arena.
• The Fitness Center can operate at no more than 25% capacity using the current reservation system. Face coverings must be worn at all times while exercising.
Program Managers can be contacted regarding these mitigations. The Park District’s Transition Team will continue to work with the Franklin Park Health Department and the Cook County & Illinois Departments of Public Health to monitor and evaluate conditions.
We ask you to take social distancing to the fullest extent. Wear a mask when in the presence of others. If you or anyone in your family is sick, please stay home. If you are traveling out of state, please refrain from using the Fitness Center for 14 days. We need your help to keep your parks and community safe.
